In
Riba Farré we are firmly committed to protecting the environment
and to recycling in order to conserve natural resources. Both
the company's day-to-day functioning and all our products have
a positive impact on the environment. Our aim is to reduce the
volume of new resources extracted from nature and to ensure that
resources already used up can take on a "second life"
in the form of a new product. Our philosophy is solidly based
on the "three Rs": reduce, reuse, recycle.
Recycling
means reducing the demand for new resources - and this can lead
to major savings in global energy costs. Thousands of commercial
and industrial products are manufactured from recycled materials,
allowing a reduced use of natural resources and a lessening of
the negative impact suffered by the planet. For this reason, in
Riba Farré we are constantly working to improve our equipment
and attain increasingly higher percentages of recycled materials.
At the same time, we are also working on innovations to reduce
the volume of recycled material and to ensure that waste is kept
to a minimum.
Our aim is to achieve greater yield and efficiency in recycling
processes.
In
Riba Farré we are fully conscious that used metal can be
reused in a wide range of applications, and that this reuse is
always preferable to simple dumping. When metal products such
as vehicles and machines come to the end of their working life,
we recover the metal component parts, process them and give them
the right shape and size for use in the manufacture of new products.
Thanks to our large fleet of trucks we are able to rapidly respond
to our clients' demands, and are in a position to see that, increasingly,
our society demands the use of recycled materials.
The
environmental benefits of recovery and recycling are a key factor
in our day-to-day operations. Our services include the full metal
recovery process: collection, standardisation of shapes and sizes,
presentation in bales and final transport of the recovered material
for incorporation into the manufacturing process.
Our work brings benefits both to consumers and industry, providing
them with a fast and easy means of recycling and reusing metal
parts which can no longer be used in their original form. At the
same time, the manufacturer benefits from a reliable and economic
supplier, capable of presenting these raw materials cut to industry
specifications.
In
Riba Farré we are also fully conscious of how important
it is to have good relations with our neighbours. Therefore, even
though we are located in a completely industrial setting, we place
special emphasis on reducing the noise and visual impact of our
processes. All our machines and our storage areas are in an industrial
premises which complies with the strictest hygiene and other requirements,
while still managing to be highly efficient and productive.
